I like the idea of subtly redirecting the focus of an illness story by naming it after its prescription treatment, ie Prozac Nation or The Adderall Diaries. Unfortunately CFS has no FDA approved prescription treatment. Wormwood is just one of the many herbs and medicines I am taking. So named because of it's ability to kill parasites, my doctor says it's also been shown to stop the replication of retroviruses. I chose it for the name of this blog because, as the main ingredient in absinthe, it has more romantic cultural connotations than "hepapressin" or "cell signaling factors"
